Max and Tom, old school. Max in the middle, Tom to the Right

Foreman- Maximino Iniguez

Our foreman Maximino has worked with Tom since 1982.  He and his wife Olga live on the Carpinteria farm and have their own field growing numerous chile varieties near the pond.  A Jack-of-all -trades, Max can do it all.  He fixes our tractors, knows just the right planting times as well as field rotations, and can devise a way to fix leaky irrigation pipe in a pinch.  If you come out to the farm you’ll

often see Max on the tractor planting or cultivating.  He’s a soft spoken individual who lights up when talking about farming and his family.  He is cornerstone to the farm and we are lucky to have him.  Next time you’re out at the farm, wave at the tractor and thank him for helping to develop a delicious organic sys tem that produces stellar strawberries.

Craig Revell is a passionate “foodie”. As an environmental studies major at UCSB, he was outraged and inspired by the impacts of modern agriculture on our planet’s health. Beginning in his own kitchen by adopting a primarily organic and vegetarian diet, he fell in love with preparing tasty healthy food and sharing with others. He made his college experience meaningful by chairing the Isla Vista chapter of Surfrider Foundation and what is now the UCSB Coastal Fund.

After college he began working in restaurants and has enjoyed learning about food and dining, helping educate colleagues and clients along the way. He earned a Skill Competency Award from the SBCC Culinary Arts Program and recently became a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. He has helped manage multiple local establishments and now can often be found at Sly’s Restaurant in Carpinteria, where he especially enjoys selling “Tom’s Carpinteria Five Bean Soup” and “Tom’s Farm Greens”.
